see here for another description of the band. yes that is a crap description, i am just really lazy. this was unwound's third album. the first song, Entirely Different Matters, is one of their best.

the debut release from glitch / breakcore artist Brock Bousfield. this release isn't too similar to his other albums, but it's just as crazy and varied. actually contains vocals on a few tracks, which are just as insane as everything else and can take some getting used to.
godly noise rock band. this is one of their older albums so it's a bit less experimental but it is still really good.
despite 65daysofstatic being mostly known for their glitchy, electronic approach to post-rock, this release is pretty much full blown IDM / electronica. the album title comes from a song on one of their proper albums which is remixed twice for this release. i love this, even though it's not really what i usually listen to it still remains glitchy which i enjoy.

brilliant little sludge metal EP from the short-lived Oakville band. worth getting if only for the second track. this album sounds bleak and desperate, the atmosphere created mostly through vocalist Tyler Semrick-Palmateer's haunting screams.
this is very experimental for a grindcore band. i wouldn't call this grindcore at all... dunno what i'd call it actually. high-pitched guitars, frantic drumming and a singer that sounds like "elvis presley being tortured". i really can't describe this any better.
the debut album from the beautiful slowcore band. great music to relax to.
split between two great math rock bands. By The End of Tonight's side is fantastic, their drummer is amazing. sadly they broke up. Tera Melos is a bit more well known, and their side is still pretty good, but it doesn't really compare to their s/t album.
fucking fantastic noise rock band. half of the band is in Future of the Left but i prefer this by far. vocalist is fucking nuts.
this is actually really good. string adaptations of Leviathan. since the album is pretty much focused around violins the heaviness isn't really there but it's still well worth a listen for Mastodon fans.
