when people think post-punk, they usually think Joy Division, or Talking Heads, or maybe LCD Soundsystem if said people are stupid. The Birthday Party takes all those assumptions about post-punk and shits on them. Junk Yard is gritty, heavy and insane, mostly due to Nick Cave's incredible vocal delivery and the wild guitarist.
